About aspieswimmer

I am an adult graduate student/academic with a comorbid diagnosis of Aspergers and bipolar disorder. I am interested in exploring the concept of neurodiversity, and hope to integrate it into my studies of literature and critical theory. I’ve started this blog as an experiment and a way to safely be really honest, and get to know myself as an “Aspie” while not letting that label define me. Finding that balance is so important. Oh, and I love swimming. I’m obsessed with swimming in the lake in the summer, it’s my favorite form of sensory immersion.
